Case study: pilates studio with online booking

A website with a booking system where clients sign up for classes themselves

OG Pilates is a reformer pilates studio in Latchorzew on the edge of Warsaw. The website is integrated with the Fitssey system: the class schedule with available spots is embedded on the website, and every “Book a class” button leads to online booking.

Why does a studio need a website with a booking system?

In a pilates studio the phone rings most often when no one can answer it – during class. A reformer class has four spots, so every missed call is potentially a free spot nobody took.

That’s why the OG Pilates website doesn’t stop at class descriptions and pricing. The Fitssey schedule is part of the website, and every button leads to booking. Clients pick a slot themselves, at any time, and the studio focuses on teaching.

Fitssey integration

Online class booking straight from the studio’s website

OG Pilates manages its schedule, spot limits and client accounts in Fitssey – a booking system for studios and clubs. The website shows that schedule and leads to it from every place a client might want to sign up.

  1. Click “Book a class”

The button is in the menu on every subpage, under every class description (“Sign up”) and next to the pricing. All of them lead to one place – the schedule.

  2. The Fitssey schedule on the website

The “Schedule” subpage embeds the Fitssey widget: time, class name, instructor, level and number of spots. Clients see the slots without leaving the studio’s website.

  3. Log in and book

After logging in to Fitssey, the client books a spot with one button. Those who prefer the app open Fitssey with the button above the schedule.

What the studio gains from online booking

Fewer calls during classes

Instructors teach, and sign-ups happen on their own – at 7 am or 11 pm, with no texting back and forth.

Spot limits under control

A reformer class takes at most four people. The system tracks the number of spots, so no one shows up to a full class.

One schedule in one place

The studio changes slots in Fitssey, and the website shows them right away. No updating the schedule in two places.

The “Schedule” subpage as the booking hub

The heading explains that the schedule shows current slots straight from the booking system, with an “Open Fitssey” button below for people who prefer to book in the app. The subpage’s Google title – “Pilates class schedule and online sign-ups” – catches people looking for a specific time.

Client’s view

The path from first visit to booking

What works on a website with bookings

Solutions we carry over to websites for studios, trainers, clinics and salons where clients book a specific time.

SEO for classes and the area

Subpage titles combine the class type with the location: reformer pilates, Stare Babice, Latchorzew, Warsaw. The blog answers questions people have before their first class.

Directions in one click

The address in the footer and contact section opens a route in Google Maps, and the copy notes the studio is close to Bemowo, Bielany and Wola.

Booking from a phone

Most bookings are made on a smartphone. The “Book a class” button is on the first screen of the mobile version.

The studio’s mood in a photo

A full-screen interior photo, serif headings and warm colours. The website looks like the studio you’re signing up for.

Usually not. Studios and clinics most often use ready-made systems such as Fitssey, which handle the schedule, spot limits and client accounts. The website embeds the schedule and points every sign-up button to it. A custom system makes sense when you need non-standard booking rules or integration with other business tools.

The “Book a class” and “Sign up” buttons lead to the “Schedule” subpage, which embeds the Fitssey schedule. The client sees the time, class, instructor, level and number of spots, logs in and books a spot. They can also open Fitssey in a separate tab or in the app.

In Fitssey, yes – booking requires logging in. That way the studio knows who signed up, and the client sees and manages their bookings. The account is created once, and later sign-ups take a few seconds.

Any business that sells time slots: pilates, yoga and fitness studios, personal trainers, dance schools, physiotherapy clinics, beauty and hair salons. Anywhere clients want to pick the time themselves and the owner has no time to answer the phone.
